Wellness and Aging

Cannabidiol (CBD) has been found in studies to help many patients suffering from conditions that are associated with aging, including arthritis, chronic pain, cancer, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and muscle spasticity associated with such diseases as Parkinson's.

Arthritis: Cannabidiol has been shown in studies to reduce arthritic pain and inflammation and positively modulate bone growth and maintenance. CBD is a potent anti-inflammatory agent and exerts its properties through inhibition of cell proliferation, induction of apoptosis, inhibition of cell proliferation, suppression of cytokine production and induction of T-regulatory cells (Tregs).

Pain Management: CBD, as a cannabinoid, can act on the cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2) and may help alleviate and manage pain. In addition, some studies have demonstrated that CBD provides a mechanism by which CBD can decrease inflammation.

Sleep and Relaxation: CBDs are known to have both relaxing and sedative effects on users. Getting the required sleep each night is an important aspect to healthy well-being – muscles grow and recover best during deep sleep.

Finally, CBD has been found to be the ultimate rebalancing mechanism for the human body. When our bodies get out of balance in any of their subsystems, CBD seeks to correct this imbalance as soon as it is ingested.
